TO REPORT AN OUTAGE, CALL:
979-543-6271 or 1-800-460-6271

WCEC'S SYSTEM IS NOT SET UP FOR SMARTHUB OR ONLINE OUTAGE REPORTING! Please do not report your outage through our website, Smarthub, email, or social media as these channels are not monitored for outages and the outage will go unreported.

During times of large outages, our phone lines can be overwhelmed. If you get a repeated busy signal or an unanswered call, most likely the outage covers a large area and we are receiving multiple calls. If service is restored to your neighborhood and your lights are still off, please call again.

BEFORE YOU REPORT AN OUTAGE

  1. Verify that your entire house is out. You may have just blown a fuse or tripped a breaker.
  2. Check your meter and your main disconnect. A blank screen on your meter means that it is not getting power.
  3. Check with your neighbors to see if their power is off. This will help us troubleshoot the outage.

WHEN REPORTING AN OUTAGE

  1. We will verify your name, phone number, location, and other information needed to troubleshoot the outage.
  2. If you get a repeated busy signal, most likely the outage covers a large area and we are receiving multiple calls. If service is restored to your neighborhood and your lights are still off, please call again.

NOTE: If the outage is the responsibility of the cooperative there will be NO CHARGE. If our crews respond to an outage and it is determined that it is on the member's side of the meter (such as a tripped breaker or a blown fuse, etc.), you may be billed for a trip fee.
