COOPERATIVE PAY INCENTIVE FOR VACCINATED WORKERS
COVID-19 Cooperative Sick Leave Qualifications
Qualification for COVID-19 Sick Leave under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 has expired. However, WCEC has opted to continue to offer sick leave due to the COVID-19 virus for fully vaccinated employees as outlined below:
QUALIFICATION: EMPLOYEE MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED TO QUALIFY FOR COVID-19 SICK LEAVE.
DURATION: 10 workdays
REASONS FOR LEAVE:
- Quarantine/isolation order – when the employee is subject to a federal, state, or local quarantine or isolation order related to COVID-19
- Self-quarantine – when the employee has been advised by an HCP to self-quarantine due to concerns related to COVID-19
- COVID-19 symptoms – when the employee is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and seeking a medical diagnosis
- Obtaining a COVID-19 vaccination
- Recovery related to the COVID-19 vaccination
- Seeking or awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test or diagnosis because either the employee has been exposed to COVID or the employer requested the test or diagnosis
UNVACCINATED EMPLOYEES WILL NEED TO USE PTO FOR COVID-19 ABSENCES FROM WORK.
This policy was re-approved at the March 2022 board meeting and will be reviewed again in September.
Return to Work Policy
