Calling Local Non-Profits:

Concern for Community is a founding principle in the cooperative world, and it resonates with many of us during the holidays. It’s in this spirit that WCEC Members contribute to many charitable and civic organizations throughout the year.

Through Operation Round Up, our members make a significant impact with small contributions by rounding up their monthly electric bills. These small contributions are added together through the WCEC Charitable Fund and then donated to local non-profit organizations.

Since 2003, through Operation Round Up, our members have given over $450,00 back to local organizations.

To receive funds, non-profit organizations must apply each year. The application process includes verification of 501(c)3 status and an explanation of how the requested funds serve our communities.

Applications for 2025 funding are now available and are due December 31, 2024.
