WCEC Office Experiencing Internet Outage

RESTORED: (11/18/22 @ 1:32 p.m.): Service to the WCEC office has been restored. All Wirehand Wireless services should have connected automatically. If you do not have service at this time, please power cycle your Wirehand Wireless home equipment. If this does not work, please contact our office at 979-543-6271 to speak with a Wirehand technician. Thank you all for your patience during this outage!

UPDATE (11/18/22 @ 11:53 a.m.): WCEC's network technicians have been able to restore a connection to SmartHub services, Pay-by-Phone, and the Outage Map. These services should now be available, but our members may experience slow loading times and/or problems connecting until our full system is back up and running. Wirehand Wireless has not been restored at this time.

The WCEC office is experiencing an Internet outage. The following WCEC Services are currently not available due to this outage:

▶️ SmartHub Online System

▶️ SmartHub Mobile App

▶️ Pay-by-Phone

▶️ Outage Map

▶️ Wirehand Wireless Internet Service.

We do not have a timeline for restoration but have been escalated to the highest level of support at AT&T.

AT&T is our upstream provider for the Wirehand Wireless Internet system so this outage affects the entire Wirehand network as we do not have a signal to broadcast out to our towers.
